Anvil Editor Missions

A number of different mission types are available for use in the Anvil Editor. A brief description is given below.

Assassinate

An enemy officer will be spawned in the objective area and patrol around. Occupying troops can be placed by setting the enemy strength values above 0. The objective is completed by eliminating the enemy officer. It is not necessary to clear the area of enemy occupation.

Capture

Occupying troops are spawned in the zone by setting the enemy strength values above 0 for the objective. The objective is completed by eliminating all enemy forces in the area.

Clear

Currently an alias for capture - destroy all enemies in the objective radius and occupy it.

Destroy

A radio tower is spawned in the objective area and must be destroyed. Occupying troops can be placed by setting the enemy strength values above 0. The objective is completed by destroying the enemy tower. It is not necessary to clear the area of enemy occupation.

Destroy AA

An enemy AA vehicle will be spawned in the objective area and must be destroyed. Occupying troops can be placed by setting the enemy strength values above 0. The objective is completed by destroying the enemy AA vehicle. It is not necessary to clear the area of enemy occupation.

Destroy Ammo

An enemy ammo box will be spawned in the objective area and must be destroyed. Occupying troops can be placed by setting the enemy strength values above 0. The objective is completed by destroying the ammo box. It is not necessary to clear the area of enemy occupation.

Destroy Helo

A friendly helicopter has crashed near the objective location. Occupying troops can be placed by setting the enemy strength values above 0. The objective is completed by destroying the helicopter. It is not necessary to clear the area of enemy occupation.

Intel

A briefcase is placed following these rules:

  1. If one or more buildings are within the objective radius, place the brief case randomly in one of the buildings, or
  2. If no buildings are present place the suitcase on the objective marker

An action is created on the suitcase for "Gather Intel". Selecting this action will cause a random delay up to 10 seconds before the intel is removed.

Occupying troops can be placed by setting the enemy strength values above 0. The objective is completed by gathering the intel. It is not necessary to clear the area of enemy occupation.

Intel From Heli Crash

A Blackfoot has crashed near the objective area. An action is created on the helicopter for "Gather Intel". Selecting this action will cause a random delay up to 30 seconds whilst the intel is gathered.

Occupying troops can be placed by setting the enemy strength values above 0. The objective is completed by gathering the intel. It is not necessary to clear the area of enemy occupation.

Move through

Troops on the friendly side must move to within 10m of the objective marker, remain there for 5 seconds and then depart the objective area. This is useful for convoy style missions where a route is mapped out. Occupying troops can be placed by setting the enemy strength values above 0. The objective is completed when friendly troops are detected within 10m of the objective marker, remain there for 5 seconds then move away. It is not necessary to clear the area of enemy occupation.

Move to

Troops on the friendly side must move to anywhere within the objective radius. This is useful as an "Return to base" style objective. Occupying troops can be placed by setting the enemy strength values above 0, however it may be preferably to place enemy occupation using Ambient spawns.

The objective is completed when any friendly troops are detected within the objective radius. It is not necessary to clear the area of enemy occupation.
